DUPHASTON® IS EFFECTIVE IN IMPROVING SYMPTOMS AND
OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE IN PATIENTS WITH
ENDOMETRIOSIS1

Endometriosis multiwomen

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women of reproductive age (~12-49 years old)2

Women with endometriosis may experience:

  • Pain before and during periods
  • Pain during ovulation
  • Chronic pelvic pain
  • Fatigue
  • Painful sex
  • Infertility

Diagnosing endometriosis can often be difficult as the symptoms are similar to other gynecological symptoms. A pelvic examination along with a checklist of symptoms are normally used to arrive at a diagnosis. A laparoscopy is often conducted to confirm a diagnosis of endometriosis. Laparoscopy is a minor surgical procedure using a laparoscope which is inserted into the abdomen to help a surgeon identify the endometriotic lesions. Imaging methods such as ultrasounds and MRIs might also be used to confirm the diagnosis.

As endometriosis is a condition which is dependent on menstrual hormone levels, symptoms are managed by regulating menstrual hormone levels. Pharmacological treatment options that relieve symptoms have been effective in improving patient's quality of life.

DUPHASTON® SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVES SYMPTOMS OF ENDOMETRIOSIS3

Treatment with Duphaston® significantly reduced pelvic pain scores in patients with endometriosis while improving dysmenorrhea symptoms.
